About Packcompare

A fairer arithmetic basis for two entered offers.

Packcompare is one free browser-local calculator for comparing the unit prices of two similar packages. It normalizes mass, volume or whole-item counts and includes identical-item multipacks. The original whole-offer prices stay beside the calculated rates so a lower unit price is not confused with a smaller total payment.

What the calculator does

You enter a total price, the number of identical contained units, the amount in each, and its unit for each offer. The tool divides each whole-offer price by its total content after exact compatible-unit conversion. It compares exact fractions, identifies a lower unit price or a true tie, and shows an absolute difference.

The method page describes the arithmetic, input limits and display policy. The worked examples use original invented prices so you can repeat the checks. No live price database, shop account or retailer integration is involved.

What it cannot determine

The tool cannot judge quality, concentration, usable yield, expiry, storage, discounts you qualify for, or whether you need the contents. It does not convert currencies or interpret taxes and fees. It is not an official pricing service or a retailer-label compliance tool. Choose comparable contents and use the same currency in both price fields.

Free use and contact

The calculator has no fee or account requirement. Publisher verification metadata and ads.txt are prepared, but this source release contains no active analytics, advertising or consent-platform loader. Setup, review and actual ad serving are separate from those metadata files.
